Anybody watching ACL Festival on Hulu?

Looks like Ken Paxton is going to be acquitted

He has been acquitted on the first three articles so far. All by a 14-16 vote. Needs 21 votes for conviction. Only 2 Republicans are voting with the Democrats. And they’ll probably lose their seats next election.

Anybody watching the Paxton trial? What just happened?

Looks like Rusty Hardin made a mistake.? When he rested does that mean the states whole case is rested or just for that witness. Obviously he wanted to take it back but wasn’t allowed to.

The insurrectionist took down the US flag and replaced it with a Trump flag.

Why does the media never talk about this? I haven’t seen videos of it since 1/6/21. And yet it happened. I don’t believe even the Jan. 6th Committee discussed it or showed videos of it.

Pay attention to Victor Blackwell on CNN

Lately, many of us are pretty disgusted with CNN For lots of reasons that I won’t go into here. I think most of us already know what’s going on.

But Victor Blackwell is not part of that. Some Republican strategist guest named Julie just tried to push a “both sides” canard regarding the Paul Pelosi attack, and political violence. Victor did not let her get away with it and this is not the first time I’ve seen him do this. Was anybody else watching? I’ll try to find a video of it and post it if I can, but I thought we should recognize that he is being very courageous.

Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal! What a great job she is doing!

I’ve been watching her all day and she has been impressive at every turn. Great arguments for progressive Democrats sticking to their position. Her interviewers keep trying to make her feel guilty for “risking everything”, and she doesn’t take that bait.

Gives me hope that, for once, Progressives won’t be (as usual) the ones that always have to give in.
